Nursery Nurse

A friendly and nurturing primary school in Islington is seeking a dedicated Nursery Nurse to join their Reception team from September.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a well-established Early Years setting, supporting children during a crucial stage of their development. The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher to provide high-quality learning experiences that promote children's social, emotional and academic growth.

The Role • Support teaching and learning within a Reception class

• Assist in delivering engaging Early Years activities both indoors and outdoors


• Help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment


• Support children's personal, social and emotional development


• Observe, monitor and record children's progress


• Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and parents


• Contribute to the preparation and organisation of learning resources and classroom environments

Essential Requirements • Level 3 Childcare Qualification (or equivalent recognised Early Years qualification)

• Previous experience working with children in an EYFS setting


• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• A warm, patient and enthusiastic approach to supporting young children


• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
