Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to oversee daily operations within a vibrant early childhood education setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of childcare professionals, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. This role offers an opportunity to utilise strong management and leadership skills while making a positive impact on young lives. Candidates should possess relevant nursery experience and a passion for early childhood development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the nursery team, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment

  • Oversee the planning and delivery of age\-appropriate activities that promote learning and development

  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and quality standards

  • Maintain effective communication with parents, carers, and staff to support children's individual needs

  • Organise staff rotas, recruitment, training, and performance appraisals using nursery management software ( family )

  • Manage administrative tasks including record keeping, budgeting, and reporting

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance nursery standards and service delivery

  • Support children’s emotional well\-being and behavioural development through positive guidance strategies
Experience
  • Proven management experience within a nursery or early childhood education setting at least 3 years as a senior manager

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team

  • Extensive knowledge of childcare practices, child development, and early childhood education principles and supporting children with additional needs

  • Experience working directly with children and understanding their developmental needs

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written

  • Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting resources or attending external meetings or events

  • Ability to build a new team to ensure outstanding provision across the nursery

Job Types: Full\-time, Permanent

Pay: £37,000\.00\-£40,000\.00 per year
