Summary
We are seeking a Nursery Finance \& Payroll Administrator to join our team in the United Kingdom. The role will initially be based on site with the possibility of moving to a hybrid position once we feel the persion is ready. This role is vital in managing financial operations and payroll processes that support our mission of nurturing young minds in a caring environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee payroll through timesheets and absence management.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable to ensure accurate financial transactions \- posting bank receipts, supplier invoices, and bank payments, along with daily bank reconciliations.
- Customer management \- receiving and checking supplier statements, preparing payment runs, monitoring debt, and raising customer invoices.
- Managing local authority portals and various funding streams.
- Maintain precise data entry for all financial records.
- Collaborate with the human resources team to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and company policies.
- Support administrative tasks related to finance and payroll as needed.
- Support to Nursery Managers and employees across the business
- Must have proven experience working in nursery business and with relevant softwares \- ideally Famly or similar.
- Experience working with local authority and understanding of early years funding schemes.
- Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail.
- Experience in managing accounts payable processes.
- Knowledge of human resources practices related to payroll management.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
