Nursery & Café Manager

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and highly motivated Manager to lead our unique Nursery and Café operation in Newport. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual who can oversee both childcare and hospitality services, ensuring outstanding customer experiences, high operational standards, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day\-to\-day operations of the Nursery and Café.


• Lead, motivate, and develop a multi\-disciplinary team.


• Ensure compliance with all relevant childcare, health \& safety, and food hygiene regulations.


• Maintain high standards of customer service and care.


• Oversee staffing, rotas, recruitment, and performance management.


• Monitor budgets, stock control, and operational costs.


• Develop and implement strategies to increase occupancy, customer engagement, and revenue.


• Build positive relationships with parents, customers, staff, and external stakeholders.

• Enhanced DBS Checks


• Previous management experience within a nursery, hospitality, café, or similar customer\-focused environment.


• Strong leadership and people management skills.


• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.


• A proven track record of delivering high\-quality customer service.


• Commercial awareness and the ability to manage budgets effectively.


• Knowledge of childcare regulations and safeguarding practices would be advantageous.


• A passion for creating a welcoming and engaging environment for families and customers.


• Must have the right to work in the UK.

• Full\-time position.


• 8am to 6pm subject to business requirements.


• Flexibility required to support operational demands, including evenings, weekends and shift operations where necessary.
