Nursery Assistant

ARE YOU A LEVEL 3 QUALIFIED CHILDCARE PRACTITIONER?
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early childhood education team at Ivy House, Ham Street.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care.

The setting is open Monday\-Friday, 7\.30am until 6\.30pm, 51 weeks per year. We cannot offer term time only contracts but have options to work full time or part time but always long days.

Duties

• Plan and deliver age\-appropriate educational activities that promote early childhood development


• Supervise and support children during play, meal times, and rest periods


• Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development


• Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities


• Ensure health and safety standards are consistently met and adhered to at all times


• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns


• Assist with organising nursery routines, including snack times, outings, and special events


• Support colleagues in managing the daily operations of the nursery, demonstrating leadership when required


• Contribute to the ongoing development of nursery policies and procedures

Skills

• Level 3 Early Years Education or Childcare qualification is a must


• Proven experience with children in a childcare or nursery setting is preferred


• Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues


• Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in childcare

This role is ideal for individuals passionate about early childhood education who wish to make a meaningful difference in young lives through dedicated care and professional development.

We are also looking for Level 3 staff in our Cobham, Weybridge, Thames Ditton \& Farnham settings so if these locations suit you better, do still apply!

Pay: £13\.25\-£14\.25 per hour
