Nurse Team Leader - Renal, Home Haemodialysis

We are recruiting for a Nurse Team Leader \- Renal, Home Haemodialysis who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

As an integral part of the renal team, you will take on the role of Nurse Team Leader, with a focus on home haemodialysis training. You will provide care to patients with End\-Stage Renal Failure (ESRF) who require renal replacement therapy and are interested in the home haemodialysis option.

This is a great opportunity to collaborate with other staff within the renal service to provide a streamlined, efficient, and effective service. You will have the opportunity to promote expert nursing care and deliver consistently high standards of healthcare to all home haemodialysis patients.

We are eager to increase the number of patients actively involved in their care, whether through Shared Care or Independent home haemodialysis. Our goal is to promote home dialysis as part of the renal unit’s strategy to deliver a service that encourages, engages, and successfully achieves self\-care for 20% of patients on renal replacement therapy (RRT).

The post holder will deputise for the Senior Sister and/or Charge Nurse in their absence with regard to the operational management of clinical service delivery at unit level.

You will provide clinical and managerial leadership to nursing and support staff.

The successful candidate will contribute to the learning and development culture within the renal department, providing learning opportunities and assessment for staff.

You will also assess dialysis patients with their health and wellbeing needs, implementing care programmes accordingly. This includes interpreting the information available to identify the short and long term needs and risks.

The successful candidate may be based at either the CKC Dialysis Centre or Lister Hospital, or work across both sites, promoting Home Haemodialysis (HHD) options and supporting HHD patients.
