Teletriage Nurse (Remote / London)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Teletriage Nurse to join a growing healthcare service delivering 24/7 support to individuals across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of digital health, combining clinical expertise with technology to provide timely, high-quality care and advice.
In this role, you will assess medical and mental health needs via telephone and online platforms, ensuring patients are directed to the most appropriate level of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct telephone and online triage assessments for medical and mental health concerns
- Assess urgency and clinical risk, determining appropriate next steps
- Provide safe, effective referrals including:
- GP, urgent care, or emergency services
- Mental health support services and crisis teams
- Physiotherapy and early intervention services
- Coordinate appointments and facilitate access to care
- Deliver ongoing case management and follow-up support
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Essential
- Registered Nurse with active NMC registration (no restrictions)
- Minimum 5+ years’ clinical experience, including:
- Triage (essential)
- Emergency Department experience (essential)
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong clinical judgement and decision-making ability
- Confident using digital systems and technology
- Experience in telehealth / teletriage services
- Background in mental health or critical care (ICU/HDU)
- Empathetic and patient-focused approach
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Resilient, adaptable and calm under pressure
- High level of cultural awareness and sensitivity
- Enhanced DBS check
- Right to work in the UK
- Up-to-date safeguarding training (or willingness to obtain)
