Nurse – Teletriage (8-Month FTC)

- Salary £60,000 Per Anumn
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join a dynamic Teletriage team on an 8-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, remote clinical assessment and triage via telephone and digital platforms, supporting individuals with medical and mental health concerns.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring members receive timely, appropriate care by assessing their needs, determining clinical priority, and coordinating referrals across healthcare services
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct telephone and online triage assessments for medical and mental health concerns.
- Assess urgency, determine clinical risk, and prioritise patient care pathways
- Provide referrals to appropriate services, including:
- Emergency services or crisis teams
- GP, Urgent Care or Emergency Departments
- Mental health or counselling services
- Coordinate care and book appointments on behalf of patients where required
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
- Conduct follow-up calls to monitor outcomes and provide further support
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
You are a highly skilled and empathetic nurse with strong clinical judgement and a passion for delivering patient care in a digital environment.
Essential Requirements
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration (no restrictions)
- Minimum 5 years’ post-registration experience
- Strong background in:
- Triage (essential)
- Emergency Department experience (essential)
- Mental health nursing
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently and make autonomous clinical decisions
- Experience in telehealth or remote triage environments
- Exposure to critical care (ICU/HDU)
