A leading UK law firm is looking to appoint an NQ solicitor to join its highly regarded Pensions team in Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity for a Trainee Solicitor qualifying this year, or a Recently Qualified Solicitor, to build a long-term career within a specialist practice recognised for its technical expertise, high-quality client base and supportive approach to development.

The Opportunity

Joining a well-established national team, the successful candidate will work alongside experienced pensions specialists advising employers, trustees and pension providers on a broad range of matters, including:

• Defined benefit and defined contribution pension schemes


• Scheme governance and regulatory compliance


• Corporate transactions with pensions implications


• Risk transfer projects, including buy-ins and buy-outs


• Potentially contentious pensions issues and dispute resolution


• Day-to-day advisory support for a diverse client portfolio

This role offers exceptional exposure to complex and varied work from the outset, alongside structured training and mentoring from recognised specialists in the field.

About You

This opportunity would suit:

• A Trainee Solicitor due to qualify in 2026 or a Recently Qualified Solicitor
