Expected Start Date: ASAP

Shift Pattern: 4 Days On / 4 Days Off, 12 Hour Shifts

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 (Depending on Experience)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Night Controller to join our operations team. This is a fast paced role requiring strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to make decisions under pressure.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing live operations, allocating bookings, monitoring service delivery and ensuring all movements are delivered efficiently. Working as part of a 24/7 operation, you will play a key role in maintaining service standards and responding to changing operational requirements in real time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day to day operation of bookings through our dispatch system


• Allocate and reallocate work efficiently in real time


• Monitor live jobs and proactively manage delays, disruptions and schedule changes


• Maintain regular communication with drivers, clients and internal departments


• Ensure all bookings are accurately scheduled and operationally viable


• Track flights and other live travel information where required


• Support service recovery and problem resolution during operational incidents


• Maintain a consistently high level of professionalism and customer service


• Assist with planning and resource allocation during peak periods

Experience \& Skills Required

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a transport control, dispatch, logistics or operational environment


• Previous experience in a Controller, Dispatcher or Operations role


• Strong geographical knowledge of London and the Home Counties


• Excellent communication and organisational skills


• Ability to remain calm and make effective decisions under pressure


• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously


• Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly


• Experience using dispatch or transport management software is advantageous

• Night shifts


• 12 hour shifts \- 18:00 to 06:00


• 4 days on / 4 days off rotation
