Hotel de Looier is looking for a Night time Receptionist to join our small international team.

Hotel de Looier is a 3\* hotel in the city center of Amsterdam; Jordaan. Our guests are of all types and ages and we are looking for someone that is comfortable with an international environment, and the ability to speak multiple languages is a great plus!

This role is for Monday through Thursday from 00:00 to 08:00 each week.

This is a "Work Alone position" and requires a keen sense of safety and security as the Night Clerk!

*Summary of Job Description*

The night receptionist is responsible for performing basic audit work during the night hours. He / she is also responsible for regular reception work, reservations, service to guests, and performance of security duties during the night shift as well as basic financial responsibilities regarding invoice management and F\&B preparations as well as basic custodial duties

  • *Basic Responsibilities*\*
· performing reception tasks during the night hours, including:

· checking in and out of guests and settling payments if necessary;

· escort guests to rooms if needed, giving tourist and venue information;

· letting guests in after closing time;

· operating telephone and email exchanges;

· receiving questions/complaints and providing other services to guests (e.g. wake\-up service).

· track and process reservations and cancellations

· preparing check\-in sheets for morning shift

· Prepare and lay out the breakfast buffet

· Performing guest floor rounds, checking for irregularities, closing windows, doors, etc .;

· identifying irregularities, taking appropriate measures and, if necessary, warning internal / external officials and / or instances in accordance with regulations / emergency plans;

· guiding guests in emergency situations.

· checking the daily cash settlements of the various departments with regard to received money, payments and signed error / correction receipts;

· finding out cash differences and reporting unresolved differences;

· booking daily receipts/invoices in the computerized system;

· booking guest accounts with consumption booked by room number;

*Competencies*

· MBO level 3 work and thinking level

· Has experience with Emergency Response work is highly preferred

· Good working knowledge of IT software such as MS Office

· Knowledge of PMS systems, ManCloud/Lobbi is preferred

· Ability to effectively handle phones systems and email systems
