You’ll work in a modern, chic 51 bedroom converted Victorian building. where professional development is nurtured, and great service is rewarded.

We are currently looking for an amazing Full time Night Porter working 4 nights on, 4 nights off, to join our wonderful team.

The Role:

As a Night Porter, your main duties would include preparing food and drink as orders come in for rooms service and late\-night bar, helping prep items for the kitchens next day service, keeping kitchen clean and complying with all food safety laws. Supporting the Night Manager on any tasks that need completing. Housekeeping runner for guest requests and helping with other in room requests. General overnight cleaning for all areas of the hotel.

Some of the tasks include:

• Floor Walks around the hotel


• Ensure corridors and floors are clear (Collecting trays, glasses etc.)


• Keeping public and staff areas tidy at all times


• Report any issues to Night Manager (For example if a fire exit was blocked)


• Clean outside terrace, cleaning floors, tables and chairs


• Set up terrace tables in the morning


• Tidy and clean indoor public areas, including, Reception, Restaurant, Bar, Library and guest restroom facilities


• Prepare any food and drinks as requested by a guest for in room or late bar to required standards.


• Prep any foods as requested by Head Chef for next day’s service.


• Clean fridges, dishwashers as requested from Head Chef.


• Ensure all crockery \& cutlery is clean and put back upstairs or in correct place in kitchen for next service.


• Deep clean kitchen once a week.


• Empty kitchen bins and leave kitchen spotless before the end of your shift.


• Help bring up waste bags for collection at 6am and clean bin area.

The responsibilities of this role may change and you may be given other responsibilities by your line manager.

Pay: £12\.71 per hour
