Night Nurse

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Night Nurse to provide exceptional patient care during overnight shifts. As a Night Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well\-being of patients through attentive monitoring, medication administration, and effective communication with the healthcare team. Your expertise in anatomy and patient care will help deliver high\-quality nursing services in a dynamic and supportive environment. Duties

• Monitor patients continuously throughout the night to identify any changes in condition or distress signals


• Administer prescribed medications accurately and safely, following all protocols and documentation requirements


• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs and symptom observation, to inform ongoing care decisions


• Maintain detailed and precise records of patient status, medication administration, and interventions performed during your shift


• Respond promptly to patient calls or emergencies, providing reassurance and appropriate interventions as needed


• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate care plans and ensure seamless patient support overnight


• Ensure a safe environment by adhering to infection control standards, safety protocols, and hospital policies

Experience

• Proven experience in patient care within a healthcare setting, preferably in a hospital or clinical environment


• Strong knowledge of human anatomy to understand patient conditions and respond effectively


• Competence in medication administration with strict adherence to safety procedures


• Excellent observational skills to detect subtle changes in patient health status during overnight hours


• Ability to remain calm, focused, and proactive during emergencies or unexpected situations


• Compassionate attitude with strong communication skills for interacting with patients and team members effectively

Pay: £21\.00 per hour
