Duties
- Provide personal care to residents or clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and mobility during night hours.
- Monitor residents’ health status, observe for any changes, and report concerns promptly to senior staff or healthcare professionals.
- Support residents in maintaining their dignity and independence while ensuring their safety throughout the night.
- Assist with medication management according to care plans, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to protocols.
- Maintain detailed records of overnight activities, observations, and any incidents that occur during your shift.
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies or urgent needs, providing reassurance and appropriate intervention.
- Support with light housekeeping tasks such as tidying resident areas and preparing for the day ahead in the morning.
- Use IT systems efficiently to update records, communicate with team members, and manage care documentation.
- Previous experience working in a care home or home care environment is highly desirable.
- Valid driving license is preferred to facilitate transportation or home visits when necessary.
- Good command of English language skills for effective communication with residents, families, and team members.
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Familiarity with IT systems used in healthcare settings for documentation purposes.
- Strong communication skills with an empathetic approach towards residents’ needs.
- Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining high standards of care.
Pay: £13\.71\-£14\.85 per hour
Expected hours: 40\.0 per week
