Night Care Assistant

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents throughout the night, responding promptly to their needs and ensuring their safety at all times


• Conduct regular checks on residents’ well\-being, including mobility, hydration, and comfort levels


• Follow care plans meticulously to deliver personalized support tailored to each resident’s requirements


• Assist with nighttime routines such as toileting, medication reminders, and repositioning as needed


• Maintain accurate records of any incidents or changes in residents’ conditions using IT systems and documentation protocols


• Communicate effectively with day staff during handovers to ensure seamless continuity of care


• Support residents in maintaining a calm environment by managing noise levels and addressing concerns promptly

Skills

• Strong communication skills in English to interact clearly with residents, team members, and external professionals


• Ability to operate IT systems for documentation and care plan updates efficiently


• Valid driving license is advantageous for supporting transportation needs or errands if required


• Experience working in a care home or providing home care is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate


• Excellent observational skills to identify changes in residents’ health or behavior during overnight shifts


• Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals through attentive and respectful care

Pay: £12\.71\-£12\.72 per hour
