As Night Auditor, you will act as the primary Front Office and guest contact overnight, combining reception responsibilities with the accurate completion of end‑of‑day financial and audit procedures while supporting the smooth operation of the hotel alongside the Night Manager. Managing late arrivals and departures, overnight guest requests and communications, you will maintain a calm, professional and reassuring presence at the Front Desk at all times, ensuring all overnight operational and accounting activities are completed accurately and in line with St. Regis standards. This role is ideal for a detail‑driven and service‑focused professional who thrives in an independent luxury hospitality environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and acknowledge guests warmly and professionally during overnight hours, ensuring a seamless arrival and departure experience
- Process late check‑ins and early departures accurately, verifying reservations, payment methods and room allocations
- Respond promptly to overnight guest requests, enquiries and concerns with professionalism and care
- Operate the overnight telephone switchboard, handling calls, messages and wake‑up requests in line with St. Regis standards
- Run the nightly audit process, ensuring all transactions and postings are balanced and reconciled accurately
- Complete End of Day procedures, including posting charges, rolling the business date and preparing audit documentation
- Prepare overnight reports, including contingency guest lists, room rate variance reports and handover documentation
- Monitor the overnight environment and report incidents, safety concerns or suspicious activity to the Night Manager
- Work collaboratively with Front Office and operational teams to ensure a smooth handover to the morning shift
- Uphold all company policies, brand standards, quality assurance expectations and luxury service standards at all times
We are seeking a polished and dependable professional who demonstrates strong attention to detail, sound judgement and a passion for luxury hospitality. You should have:
- Previous experience in a Night Auditor or Front Office role, ideally within a luxury hotel environment
- Strong understanding of Front Office operations, guest service and night audit procedures
- Experience using Opera and handling financial transactions accurately
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, particularly in financial reconciliation and reporting
- Ability to work independently and remain calm and professional during overnight shifts
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the confidence to handle guest concerns effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and engaging approach
- A proactive mindset, ensuring smooth overnight operations and anticipating guest needs
