<p>We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated attorney with a strong background in personal injury law, particularly on the plaintiff side. The successful candidate must be licensed to practice law in New York.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Oversee a caseload of personal injury cases from initiation through resolution, including conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.</li>
<li>Effectively communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance companies to negotiate settlements and facilitate the litigation process.</li>
<li>Conduct depositions, attend court hearings, and represent clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings.</li>
<li>Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to devise case strategies for optimal outcomes.</li>
<li>Stay updated on changes in personal injury laws and legal trends to provide knowledgeable counsel to clients.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.</li>
<li>Active license to practice law in New York State, in good standing.</li>
<li>Minimum of 5 years of experience handling plaintiffs' personal injury matters, with a focus on New York law.</li>
<li>Proficient litigation skills, including experience with drafting legal documents, conducting depositions, and courtroom appearances.</li>
<li>Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.</li>
<li>Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.</li>
</ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="title">Compensation Range:</div><div class="pay-range"><span>$150,000</span><span class="divider">&mdash;</span><span>$200,000 USD</span></div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>Compensation: </strong>The base salary or hourly range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to; prior relevant experience, business needs and market factors. Additionally, salary wages are only part of the total compensation package.</p>
