As a New Business Sales Executive, you will be at the forefront of our expansion strategy, responsible for identifying, engaging, and converting new business opportunities across a diverse range of industries. This is a hunter role designed for a self\-motivated individual who thrives on the challenge of breaking into new accounts and establishing long\-term partnerships.
You will work across multiple high\-value sectors including construction, quarrying, waste and recycling, rail, demolition, agriculture, forestry, ports and shipping, manufacturing and warehousing, events, and military and defence. Your primary focus will be generating qualified leads, securing meetings with key decision\-makers, and showcasing our products through compelling demonstrations that convert prospects into customers. This role will involve travel across the UK and being on the road 75% of the time.
Key Responsibilities

Prospecting and Lead Generation
- Proactively identify and research new business opportunities across all target sectors, utilising various channels including LinkedIn, industry databases, trade publications, and networking events
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of high\-quality leads through systematic prospecting activities, ensuring consistent flow of opportunities
- Conduct thorough market research to understand industry trends, competitor activities, and potential customer pain points within each sector
- Generate qualified leads through cold calling, email campaigns, social selling, and attendance at industry\-specific trade shows and exhibitions
- Maintain accurate records of all prospecting activities and lead information within the CRM system
Customer Engagement and Relationship Building relations, including operations managers, procurement directors, and C\-suite executives
- Develop tailored outreach strategies for each sector, demonstrating understanding of industry\-specific challenges and requirements
- Build rapport with prospects through consultative conversations that uncover needs and establish credibility
- Nurture relationships with potential customers through a consultative sales approach
