The Role:
As a Network Engineer at South Staffordshire Plc, you will play a critical role in delivering secure, resilient, and high\-performing IT services across the organisation.
This is a hands\-on technical role supporting both cloud and on\-premise network environments, covering BAU support and major transformation projects. You’ll work across a wide range of technologies, helping to maintain and enhance critical infrastructure while driving stability, security, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor network infrastructure and services, using monitoring tools to maximise performance, availability, and reliability
- Build, configure, test, and deploy network hardware and services across WAN and LAN environments
- Maintain and support network security infrastructure including Fortigate and Azure firewalls
- Diagnose and resolve complex WAN/LAN and connectivity issues, taking ownership through to resolution
- Support network projects including site rollouts, upgrades, expansions, relocations, and disaster recovery solutions
- Work closely with internal teams and third\-party providers to deliver high\-quality network services and support
- Ensure adherence to technical standards, operational procedures, and best practices across all activities
- Travel to UK sites as required and participate in an out\-of\-hours on\-call rota
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to pass a security clearance check (Essential)
- Strong understanding of routing and WAN/LAN technologies, including Ethernet, SD\-WAN, VPN, and MPLS
- Experience supporting Cisco networking equipment including switching and routing technologies
- Experience managing Meraki MX, MS, and MR environments
- Knowledge of network monitoring and diagnostic tools
- Experience with zero\-trust or micro\-segmentation technologies such as Zscaler or Guardicore
- Networking qualifications such as CCNA or CCNP
