The Opportunity
To strengthen our Advisory Business Unit, we are looking for a Network and Security Engineer.
You will join a team working to support the operation, development, and security of the
company’s network and datacenter environments. The consultant will contribute to the administration and evolution of critical infrastructure, network modernization projects, and next\-generation security solutions, contributing to the development of innovative solutions while collaborating with professionals from diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise.
What You'll Do
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Administer, support, maintain, and develop network and security infrastructure.
- Diagnose and resolve complex network incidents.
- Participate in architecture, migration, and deployment projects.
- Monitor and optimize network performance.
- Maintain technical documentation and operating procedures, including network diagrams.
- Perform datacenter operations, including:
- Installation and replacement of network and security equipment.
- Copper and fibre\-optic cabling.
- Rack installation, equipment commissioning, and management of IT cabinets.
- Compliance with datacenter operating best practices.
- Collaborate with systems, security, and project teams.
Skills \& Qualifications:
- • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: OSI model, TCP/IP, subnetting and IP addressing, VLANs, trunking, Layer 2 switching, Layer 3 routing, NAT, DHCP, and DNS.
- Knowledge of and practical experience with static routing, OSPF, and BGP.
- Experience with Cisco Nexus, Cisco Catalyst, and Cisco Wireless LAN Controller C9800 technologies.
- Knowledge of or experience with firewalls, including Check Point, Palo Alto, and Fortinet.
- Knowledge of Network Access Control and Cisco ISE, including 802\.1X, profiling, and posture management.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust Network Access and Web Application Firewall technologies.
- Experience with monitoring and supervision tools, including SolarWinds Orion and Zabbix.
Nice to Have:
- • Higher education qualification in IT, networking, or telecommunications.
- Relevant practical experience in network administration or network engineering.
- Strong analytical and problem\-solving capabilities.
- Team\-oriented approach and strong service mindset.
- Ability to work autonomously, with rigor and attention to operational quality.
- Valid Category B driving license.
- Availability for occasional travel to different sites and datacenters.
