Heritage is for everybody, and we are here for heritage.

Heritage lives in places and people, memories and stories, artefacts and traditions. It can connect us all to the past, and to each other. It can make us happier, strengthen every community, and help shape society for the better. Everybody should be able to enjoy the benefits it brings.

That's why, as a charity, we care for over a million objects and hundreds of historic sites in every part of England, from international icons to local treasures. And it's why we open them up, share their stories and find new ways for everybody to enjoy, learn, play and create.

We are looking for a National Project Manager to join our team. The role is a full time and permanent working hours per week.

As a National Project Manager, you will use your professional skills and experience to ensure that projects are delivered on time, on budget and to agreed standards. You will lead and inspire in\-house and external teams to work together to deliver projects that both conserve our sites for future generations and to help visitors to experience the story of England where it happened.

You will work collaboratively with staff from many other English Heritage

Departments and will be a positive ambassador for the Projects and Portfolio

Management team and the project work the National Project Team delivers. You will

work closely with other members of the National Projects Team and will share best

practice, innovative ideas and useful experience to continually improve the Team's

project management service.

As National Project Manager, your role oversees the full life cycle of conservation and construction projects across the English Heritage estate, leading teams, managing budgets, procurement, records, and stakeholder relationships to deliver high?'quality outcomes. It also involves using asset data to shape project planning, supporting public engagement opportunities, and collaborating across the organisation while adhering to best practice.

To be considered as a National Project Manager, you'll need:

  • Proven track record of planning and delivering heritage sector project work
using a structured project management methodology.
  • Proven track record of Project Management of successful projects (heritage
and/or new build construction).
  • Relevant Project Management experience in the historic and conservation
environment.
  • Experience of delivering projects requiring management of multiple
stakeholders.
  • Ability to project manage a range of projects in parallel, prepare achievable
programmes of work and identify critical path analysis to ensure success of

multiple project delivery.

Interviews will be held week commencing 8 and 15 June on MS Teams.
