As part of the J G Pears Group, P. Waddington and Co. (1947\) Ltd has a long and proud history of collecting \& processing Category 1 \& 2 Animal by\-products and fallen stock. Based in Bradford, West Yorkshire we aim to recycle all animal by products into energy and bio fuels through our products of Tallow and Meat and Bone meal.
We are looking for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias) to join our team at Bradford (BD3 9LP) working in a busy factory on a permanent basis. The role would suit someone who enjoys problem\-solving, working on a variety of equipment, and being part of a practical, hardworking site team. You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, fault\-finding, repairs and continuous improvement work to keep the plant running safely and efficiently. The shift pattern for this role is 4 days on / 4 days off, day shifts. We offer stable, permanent employment.

- Carry out mechanical maintenance across the site.
- Diagnose and repair faults on production plant, machinery, motors, conveyors, pumps, valves, sensors and control systems.
- Support planned preventative maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
- Respond quickly to breakdowns and work effectively under pressure.
- Work safely in line with company procedures, health and safety standards and permit\-to\-work systems.
- Support improvements to plant reliability, efficiency and performance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work carried out.
- Work closely with production teams to minimise disruption and keep operations running smoothly.
- Level 3 apprentice trained Multiskilled Engineer or recognized engineering qualification, such as NVQ, City \& Guilds, HNC, HND or equivalent.
- Experience working with motors, drives, control panels, sensors, pumps, conveyors and process equipment
- Good understanding of bearings, mechanical drive systems and gearboxes
- Experience in basic fabrication/ pipe fitting skills, welding (MIG/MMA) and angle grinders
- Able to act of your own initiative by solving problems related to breakdowns efficiently
- The candidate must have experience driving forklifts, cherry pickers and scissor lift trucks, licence not essential as in house training will be provided
- The ideal candidate must be flexible to attend to call out’s
- Have a sound understanding of health and safety procedures including being COSHH efficient
