We are currently looking for a Multi Skilled Operative to join our busy, vibrant property services team in Tongwynlais, Cardiff. Imagine being part of a friendly environment where every day brings new opportunities to excel and improve people's homes!
Hours of Work: full time
As a Multi Skilled Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, repairs, and improvements across our properties. Your role will involve working on a range of tasks, from plumbing and carpentry to tiling and patch plastering, ensuring our tenants' homes are safe, comfortable, and well-maintained. You'll be a vital part of our team, providing high-quality repairs and delivering exceptional customer service every day.
Multi Skilled Operative Duties: carrying out maintenance and repairs to properties, performing general plumbing, carpentry, tiling, patch plastering, and other building repairs, providing excellent customer service, managing your workload efficiently, and working towards a "right first time" standard.
Multi Skilled Operative Requirements:
- Proven experience in a repairs or maintenance role within property or construction industry
- Broad knowledge of building maintenance including plumbing, carpentry, tiling, and plastering
- Good communication skills with the ability to deliver excellent customer service
- Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload efficiently
- A full UK driving licence is essential, along with a willingness to travel around the Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan areas
- Starting salary from £31,069 up to £32,704 depending on experience
- 25 days holiday, increasing to 30 days plus 3 days Christmas leave and bank holidays
- Sick pay providing up to 3 months full pay plus 3 months half pay
- Free home to work travel within a 30-mile radius of our head office
- Opportunity to earn an additional £5,000 annually through out of hours rota payments and overtime opportunities
- Opportunity to participate in three pension schemes, including a defined benefit scheme with contributions matched up to 10%
