Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Overview
Optimal FM Construction are looking for a reliable and experienced Multi\-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general maintenance, with a joinery background preferred and be confident carrying out works across commercial and/or retail environments.

This role would suit someone who is hands\-on, proactive and able to work both independently and as part of a wider team.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance works


• Complete general building repairs and fabric maintenance


• Undertake joinery works where required


• Attend sites to diagnose issues and complete repairs efficiently


• Ensure works are completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales


• Maintain a clean, safe working environment at all times


• Complete job sheets, reports, and updates as required


• Liaise professionally with clients, site staff and management


• Follow all company health and safety procedures

Requirements

• Previous experience in a multi\-skilled maintenance role


• Joinery background preferred


• Valid CSCS card essential


• Full UK driving licence essential


• Ability to carry out a range of building maintenance tasks


• Good problem\-solving skills and attention to detail


• Ability to work independently and manage workload


• Good communication skills


• Reliable, punctual and professional approach


• Willingness to travel to different sites as required

Desirable

• Experience working in retail, commercial, or facilities maintenance environments


• Basic plumbing, painting, decorating or flooring experience


• Own tools preferred


• IPAF/PASMA or other trade\-related qualifications would be advantageous
