Job Title: Multi Skilled Engineer Location: Somerset
Salary: £55,000 (OTE £60,000+)
Shift: 4 on 4 off (2 Days, 2 Nights – 6am–6pm / 6pm–6am)

Job Role of the Multi Skilled Engineer A leading FMCG manufacturer in Somerset is looking to strengthen its engineering team with an experienced Multi Skilled Engineer. Working across a high-volume production facility, you'll provide electrical and mechanical maintenance support across a wide range of automated processing and packaging machinery, helping to maximise equipment availability and minimise production downtime.

With a strong emphasis on electrical fault finding, the role will involve planned maintenance, reactive breakdown response and diagnosing faults across PLC-controlled equipment, motors, sensors and drives. You'll also contribute to continuous improvement and engineering projects as the business continues to invest in its equipment, site and engineering capability.

Sector – Food & Drink Manufacturing

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Multi Skilled Engineer • Multi-Skilled Maintenance experience with a strong electrical bias.

• Engineering qualification (Level 3 or equivalent).


• Previous FMCG manufacturing experience.

Requirements of the Multi Skilled Engineer • Electrical fault finding.

• PLC fault finding.


• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).


• Reactive breakdown maintenance.


• Inverters, motors and sensors.


• Reading electrical drawings.


• Continuous Improvement.


• Production machinery maintenance.


• Health & Safety awareness.

Desirable Requirements of the Multi Skilled Engineer • Food or drink manufacturing experience.

• High-speed production line experience.


• Mechanical fault-finding experience.


• Electrical installation or commissioning experience.
