Salary: £44,000 per annum
HRGO Recruitment are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business.
This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically biased engineer to join a fast-paced production environment, playing a key role in maintaining high-performing machinery, improving reliability, and supporting continuous production operations.
The role:
- Delivering routine maintenance activities across production and processing machinery
- Identifying faults quickly and carrying out effective repairs to reduce production downtime
- Supporting the smooth operation of extrusion and converting processes
- Troubleshooting electrical control systems, drives, motors, sensors, and automation equipment
- Maintaining mechanical components including bearings, gearboxes, rollers, and pneumatic systems
- Assisting with the upkeep of material handling and conveying equipment throughout the plant
- Carrying out machine inspections, servicing, and component replacements as required
- Supporting equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects
- Ensuring engineering work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with site procedures
- Recording maintenance activities accurately within the company maintenance system
- Contributing to ongoing improvements in plant efficiency, reliability, and overall performance
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding and maintenance skills
- Time-served multi-skilled maintenance engineer
- Electrically biased (60/40 electrical/mechanical)
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience within extrusion or plastics would be advantageous
- Good understanding of electrical systems
