Multi-Drop Transport Planner - 11am - 8pm Shift

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail\-oriented multi\-drop transport planner of our own fleet of rigids \& artic vehicles with proven groupage planning experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning efficient routes of our trucks to delivery \& collect pallets in line with customer expectations. You will be required to decide best optimisation for each vehicle keeping in mind best use of time, space \& location. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure effective transport solutions.

Duties

• Develop and implement transport plans that align with customer requirements and organisational objectives.


• Coordinate with drivers, customers, and other departments to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.


• Utilise IT systems to analyse data and create reports on transport operations.


• Maintain accurate records of transport activities, including schedules, routes, and costs.


• Communicate effectively with customers to address inquiries and resolve issues related to transport services.


• Lead initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.


• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards in all transport activities.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a transport planning or logistics role is preferred.


• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, is essential for data management and reporting.


• Demonstrated leadership abilities to guide teams towards achieving operational goals.


• High level of computer literacy with the ability to adapt to new IT systems quickly.


• A valid driving licence is advantageous but not mandatory.
