The Role
As a Motor Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs to the highest standards while ensuring every vehicle leaves our workshop safe, reliable and repaired correctly the first time.
You'll work on a wide variety of vehicle makes and models using the latest Bosch diagnostic equipment and manufacturer repair information.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing and routine maintenance on a wide range of vehicles.
- Perform advanced diagnostics using Bosch and dealer\-level diagnostic equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and electronic faults.
- Carry out repairs including:
- Clutches
- Cambelts and timing chains
- Engine repairs
- Suspension and steering
- Braking systems
- Exhaust systems
- Cooling systems
- Hybrid and Electric Vehicle repairs (where qualified)
- Carry out MOT preparation and repair work.
- Perform wheel alignment and geometry adjustments.
- Carry out ADAS calibrations and post\-repair safety checks where trained.
- Undertake welding and fabrication repairs when required.
- Complete road tests and final quality control inspections.
- Complete digital vehicle health checks and workshop documentation accurately.
- Identify additional work required and communicate findings clearly.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Follow all Health \& Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures.
- Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Proven experience as a qualified Motor Vehicle Technician.
- Excellent diagnostic and fault\-finding ability.
- Strong mechanical and electrical repair skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude with a genuine can\-do approach.
- Pride in producing high\-quality workmanship.
- Reliable, honest and professional.
- MOT Tester Licence.
- IMI Level 3 Hybrid \& Electric Vehicle Qualification.
- Bosch diagnostic experience.
- Dealer\-level diagnostic experience.
- ADAS calibration experience.
- Air Conditioning qualification.
- Welding and fabrication experience.

- Manual handling procedures.
- Road testing and quality control procedures.
