Role Description
The Mortgage \& Client Services Administrator is a full\-time hybrid role based in Dorking, Surrey, with flexibility to work from home.
This is a key operational role within First Mortgage Surrey, supporting the advisers throughout the mortgage journey and ensuring cases continue to progress efficiently from initial enquiry through to completion.
The successful candidate will take ownership of client onboarding, document collection, appointment coordination, application progression and third\-party liaison, enabling advisers to focus on advising clients and writing business.
Day\-to\-day responsibilities include:
- Managing client onboarding and obtaining all required documentation ahead of adviser appointments.
- Contacting new enquiries and referrals and arranging adviser appointments.
- Proactively following up clients who have not yet progressed.
- Contacting existing clients approaching mortgage review and arranging appointments.
- Progressing mortgage applications from submission through to offer and completion.
- Liaising with lenders, solicitors, estate agents and clients throughout the process.
- Providing regular updates and proactively chasing outstanding actions.
- Maintaining accurate CRM records, notes and follow\-up tasks.
- Supporting advisers with administrative work that does not require regulated mortgage advice.
Skills \& Experience
- Recent hands\-on experience in mortgage administration, mortgage case management or mortgage processing is strongly preferred.
- Good understanding of the mortgage application process from initial documentation through to offer and completion.
- Experience liaising with lenders, solicitors, estate agents and clients.
- Confident and professional telephone manner.
- Comfortable making proactive outbound calls to clients and third parties.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial documentation.
- Experience using mortgage CRM systems, lender portals and Microsoft Office.
- Able to work independently, take ownership of tasks and follow them through to completion.
- Good judgement and the ability to recognise when an issue should be escalated to an adviser.
- Experience with protection administration would be advantageous.
Dorking, Surrey / Hybrid / Home Working
Applicants must already be based in the UK and able to attend the Dorking office on a regular hybrid basis.
