Montessori Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Montessori Teacher to support our early childhood education programme. The ideal candidate will work closely with lead teachers to create a nurturing, organised, and stimulating environment for young children. Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in implementing Montessori educational activities and lesson plans


• Support the organisation and maintenance of classroom materials and resources


• Supervise children during activities, ensuring their safety and well\-being at all times


• Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment that encourages children's independence and curiosity


• Help with daily routines such as mealtimes, rest periods, and outdoor play


• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to promote a collaborative learning atmosphere


• Support behavioural management strategies in line with Montessori principles


• Participate in staff meetings and ongoing professional development sessions

Skills

• Experience in childcare or nursery settings, ideally within an early childhood education environment


• Strong management and organisational skills to maintain classroom orderliness


• Leadership qualities to guide children positively and support team efforts


• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written


• Working knowledge of child development principles and Montessori methodology


• Ability to work collaboratively within a team of educators and support staff


• Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting materials or attending off\-site activities


• Passionate about working with children, demonstrating patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for early childhood learning

Pay: £24,420\.00\-£47,332\.28 per year
