Accountabilities

  • Lead and develop three Design Team Leads and an overall team of thirteen 3D designers, supporting strong performance, collaboration, and professional growth.

  • Optimize design production workflows by identifying bottlenecks, simplifying processes, and introducing practical automations that reduce repetitive work.

  • Align design operations with merchant needs and e-commerce trends, using customer feedback and performance insights to improve visual assets and reduce reprint rates.

  • Evaluate and introduce practical AI-powered tools that can improve designer productivity, streamline workflows, and enhance the overall production process.

  • Lead capacity planning and resource allocation, ensuring high-value initiatives are appropriately prioritized and available resources are used effectively.

  • Monitor production metrics and merchant usage patterns to identify opportunities for improving efficiency, output, conversion, and return on visual asset creation.

  • Strengthen collaboration between design, product, technology, and other relevant functions to maintain an efficient and responsive visual asset pipeline.

  • Establish and maintain operational processes that enable the 3D design function to scale sustainably.

  • Coach and mentor Design Team Leads in merchant-centric thinking, operational excellence, leadership development, and team management.

  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement, experimentation, ownership, and proactive problem-solving.

  • Help shape the longer-term strategy for design operations and the evolution of the 3D production function.

Requirements


  • Proven experience leading and developing technical, creative, 3D design, or similarly specialized teams.

  • Experience working in a platform, SaaS, or e-commerce environment, with an understanding of how creative and technical operations contribute to scalable product ecosystems.

  • Strong process-improvement mindset with a demonstrated ability to identify inefficiencies and introduce streamlined workflows or automation.

  • Practical interest in AI and emerging technologies, with the ability to assess how accessible AI tools can improve everyday team productivity.

  • Experience using operational metrics and team-capacity data to inform scheduling, prioritization, resource allocation, and output-per-FTE decisions.

  • Strong understanding of how design operations can support customer or merchant outcomes and broader business objectives.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining focus on efficiency, quality, and measurable impact.

  • Strong people-management and mentoring skills, with the ability to develop team leads and build high-performing, collaborative teams.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively across creative, technical, and business functions.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international, and evolving environment.

  • Proactive, analytical, and practical approach to problem-solving, with a willingness to challenge inefficient processes and explore new solutions.
