Mobile Hydraulic Field Service Technician

We are seeking an outgoing and competitive Mobile Hydraulic Field Service Technician servicing hydraulic hoses repairs in our Summit Hydraulics centre and on site in surrounding areas. ( Leinster )

We are looking for self motivated individual who can work well as part of a team. We would prefer experience in a mechanical plant or engineering background and will offer training for the right person. There will be an after hours call out roster which is on a 24 hour basis which you will be expected to undertake and includes weekends and bank holidays all year round. You will need to hold a full driving licence and be willing to complete an online driving licence check.

The central role will be to provide a professional On\-site Hose Replacement Service to Summit Hydraulics customers. This role will include being part of a 24 hr ‘on\-call’ rota.

Candidates will be expected to actively promote Summit Hydraulics products and services to existing and prospective customers throughout their given territory.

The candidate is expected to maintain the highest levels of health and safety practice including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment where applicable

The day to day management of a Mobile Sales and Service Unit to include:

• Maintaining sufficient stock levels within the MSSU as per a supplied stock list.


• Performing routine maintenance checks in accordance with the MSSU defect checklist


• Ensuring the MSSU is kept clean and tidy inside and outside


• Managing all Summit Hydraulics supplied documentation within the MSSU including technical and procedural updates

To provide assistance to Summit Hydraulics internal staff when requested

To attend Summit Hydraulics training courses as requested by management

Good personal presentation and adherence to Summit Hydraulics policies and procedures

Work experience

• Ideal person to have plant or motor trade background or experience with hydraulics


• Work experience in a technical/engineering environment advantageous but not essential

Educational requirements

Full driving licence required

What we will ask you to do

• Based in Naas, Co. Kildare, we will ask you to attend emergency callouts to various sites around Leinster.


• Be professional, polite and presentable


• Assess hydraulic hose problems on a variety of machinery


• Remove and replace hydraulic hoses


• Manufacture hoses in your mobile workshop


• Testing of hydraulic systems to ensure safety and functionality


• Ensure safety procedures are adhered to at all times


• Ensure customer satisfaction at all times


• Generate electronic sales dockets on site


• Help to promote our business

Pay: €40,000\.00\-€55,000\.00 per year
