Metrology Engineer \- West Midlands

The role of Metrology Engineer:

  • Measure and test products to verify and validate conformance to specification

  • Develop measurement techniques, MSA, and create measurement programs and test procedures

  • Undertake dimensional investigations and analysis of metrology data to improve tooling and processes

  • Measurements of production and NPI parts using contact and non\-contact CMMs

  • Development of measurement techniques for production and quality control

  • Input into gauge concepts and design

  • Creating measurement programs for contact and non\-contact CMMs

  • Undertaking PPAP and Annual Layout Inspections

  • Ensure compliance with IATF16949, ISO9001, and ISO13485

The ideal Metrology Engineer:
  • Experience with CMM programming and metrology in an automotive manufacturing environment

  • Knowledge of IATF16949, ISO9001, and ISO13485
