What You’ll Experience:
Throughout your internship in our Portugal Buying Office, you will be exposed to professional development, networking and have the opportunity to:
- Learn how a TJX Buying Office operates and how Merchandise Assistants provide diversified support for multiple buyers in a dynamic fast\-paced work environment.
- Actively collaborating with Merchandise Assistants to enter and follow up purchase orders for buyers across multiple departments
- Support the team in communicating with vendors regarding purchase orders modifications/changes
- Learn how to create and run reports for buyers as needed (On Order, Sales, etc.)
- Assists in preparing for Style Out and Strategy meetings by gathering samples, preparing selling recaps, etc.
- Gain exposure to special projects carried over by the team (i.e. recap projects, trend recaps, trend boards, etc.)
- Build strong connections with colleagues across different areas of business including our global offices
- Advanced Portuguese and English proficiency (Spanish is a plus)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Work in a collaborative, international environment
