We are currently working alongside a large South West based Housing charity on the recruitment of a Mental Health Support Worker in Swindon – with the same vacancy available in Chippenham and Salisbury.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis, following a shift pattern of and requiring some weekend work.

Hourly rates of £18.50 per hour are available, with the capacity for the role to become permanent further down the line if agreeable.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Deliver person-centred support to residents experiencing a mental health crisis, promoting recovery, wellbeing and independence through tailored support plans and interventions

  • Carry out regular wellbeing and welfare checks, providing practical and emotional support to help residents stabilise and work towards their individual recovery goals

  • Work collaboratively with NHS teams, mental health professionals and partner agencies to ensure coordinated support and positive outcomes for residents

  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to a safe, calm and welcoming environment, ensuring all support is delivered in line with safeguarding, risk management and service standards

Please note an Enhanced DBS would be required for this role.

Experience required:

  • Experience with safeguarding vulnerable clients is required, however alternate support backgrounds are welcome

Working hours:
  • 37.5 hours per week

  • Rolling rota: 9:00am - 5:00pm, 10:00am - 6:00pm, 12:00pm - 8:00pm and 2:00pm - 10:00pm
