Imperium Financial Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a growing and ambitious personal insolvency practice in Manchester to recruit an experienced Meetings of Creditors Officer.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful and expanding business where you will play a key role in the IVA process, ensuring proposals progress efficiently from drafting through to approval and maintaining excellent communication with debtors, creditors and internal stakeholders throughout.
The Role As a Meetings of Creditors Officer, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing IVA creditor meetings, liaising with creditors to negotiate modifications, and ensuring cases are progressed in line with regulatory and company standards.
The successful candidate will have previous experience working within a similar role in the personal insolvency sector and will be confident managing a busy caseload in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities • Managing IVA cases through the Meetings of Creditors process.
- Liaising with creditors and their representatives regarding IVA proposals.
- Negotiating creditor modifications and securing approvals where possible.
- Preparing and issuing all relevant documentation prior to meetings.
- Conducting creditor reviews and ensuring proposals meet acceptance criteria.
- Communicating outcomes and modifications to debtors and internal teams.
- Working closely with Case Preparation, Compliance and Post-Approval teams to ensure smooth case progression.
- Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems.
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Meeting individual and team performance targets.
- Strong understanding of the IVA process and creditor voting procedures.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with creditors and internal stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage a high-volume workload whilst maintaining accuracy.
- Proactive approach and ability to work independently.
