Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast\-paced environment, ensuring that all patient interactions are handled with care and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check\-in process.
- Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations.
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries promptly.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality is upheld.
- Process patient registrations and update information as necessary.
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth operations within the practice.
- Handle billing and insurance claims, ensuring all procedures are followed correctly.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organised reception area.
- Strong administrative skills with experience in office management preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in using office equipment such as computers, printers, and telephones.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous but not essential.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: £12\.81 per hour
