JOB OPENING
- Title: Medical Material Technician
- Location: Ramstein, Germany
- Start Date: Immediately
- Job\-Type: Full Time (40 Hours/week)
- Have a high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalency.
- Language Requirement. Have the ability to read, speak, and write English. English shall be spoken with sufficient structural accuracy and vocabulary pronunciation effective in most formal and informal conversations on practical and professional topics.
- Perform a broad range of standard receiving assignments. Verifies shipments. Matches specific item(s) by name, stock number, letter, code, quantity, or unit of issue on containers. Unloads incoming shipments, and scans bar codes, or key receipt information into an automated record system.
- Perform a broad range of standard storage assignments. Stores, stacks palletizes, and/or rotates items considering their use, size, shape, quantity, and special handling requirements. Matches, checks, and compares data on storage instruments with materials to be stored against materials already in storage locations.
- Perform tasks involved in issuing/shipping items. Selects and assembles items based on priority, type of material, mode of transportation, destination, and type of transaction.
- Assist in accomplishing inventories by counting items and properly completing tally listings and other inventory documents. Verifies and corrects inventory item quality assurance data in tally listing and updates the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) System.
- Performs or assists in dated, non\-dated, unserviceable, and excess item management including but not limited to inventory, non\-inventory verification, physical movement, and disposal actions as determined by the work center manager.
- Operate automated material handling and identification equipment to include mobile stock selectors and electromechanical automated equipment such as high\-rise automated storage and retrieval vehicles, to move, stack, and unstack, load and unload bin, and position material.
- Perform material handling duties, including the use of tools and other equipment, in a safe manner, utilizing safety practices and procedures, and complying with established safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain records and documents.
This position is not eligible for support under NATO Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) supplemental agreement articles 72 or 73
