The Role

We are looking for a motivated Mechanical Sales Engineer to join our team. This customer facing role combines technical expertise with consultative sales, helping customers identify the right engineering, manufacturing, and technical training solutions to meet their objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and demonstrate Denford's range of CNC machines, CAD/CAM systems, laser cutters, and related technologies.

  • Prepare quotations, technical proposals, and tender submissions.

  • Develop new business opportunities and grow existing customer accounts.

  • Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and training.

  • Provide presales technical advice and post sales support.

  • Build strong relationships with customers, distributors, and partners.

About You

Essential

  • Degree (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Experience in technical sales, engineering sales, account management, or a customer facing engineering role.

  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering and manufacturing technologies.

  • Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.

  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.

  • Full UK Driving Licence.

  • Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally.

Desirable
  • Experience with CNC machinery, CAD/CAM systems, or manufacturing equipment.

  • Experience delivering technical demonstrations and training.

  • Knowledge of Sage 200 / CRM or similar ERP systems.
