Your new role:
Based in Peterborough, you will be joining the UK's leading water/ clean water equipment and processing manufacturing business, who now, due to continued growth, are looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join their engineering team on a 12 month fixed term contract.Offering a range of industry-leading benefits, including private healthcare, a generous holiday allowance and other perks, this is an excellent time to join this fast-expanding company in a hands-on maintenance role!
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Assemble, install, maintain, and repair mechanical components to ensure optimal equipment functionality.
- Perform refurbishment and fabrication of parts and equipment
- Calibrate and validate instruments to maintain accuracy and compliance
- Work independently or collaboratively with qualified fitters, fabricators, welders, and electricians on larger projects
- Quality inspection of equipment, machinery and parts.
Skills & Experience required:
- Previous experience in a similar Mechanical fitting/assembly/ fabrication role
- Experience in a similar fast-paced factory/plant environment
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Experience and ability to use handheld machinery, equipment and tools.
- Able to work individually and/or within a team environment
