We are looking for a Mechanical Design \& Support Engineer M/F/X on a permanent contract, full time to join our Team in Villers\-Cotterê ts (02600\).As Mechanical Design and support Engineer M/F/X, you will be part of a team that applies its expertise and knowledge to technical projects, finding innovative, cost\-effective means to improve products, procedures, and technologies.
You will design and develop new ideas and solutions for new product development as well as current products modification and improvements based on in\-service issues and market strategy.
You are responsible for design and implementation of mechanical parts, sub\-assemblies and product improvements.
Key Responsibilities for this role :
- Own the new product development cycle, from the preliminary architecture design to the product launch, which includes the design (3D modeling,2D drawings, BOMs, user manuals), the mock\-up and their validation with customers, the sourcing review, the testing (test specs, test planning and test review) and support to quality, AME and regulatory functions.
- Drive the change on existing products to address issues that arise during production, assembly, and field use, through the change management process (EWR and ECN).
- Support the existing range in collaboration with sourcing, offering management, regulatory and quality.
- Anticipate the future evolution of the existing range in collaboration with sourcing, offering management, regulatory and quality.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronic) with a first experience on similar role (1 to 3 years) in an industrial environment.
- Hands\-on experience with engineering tools and docs (products specs, design rationale, drawings, stack\-up checking, test plans, test reports)
- Proficient with CAD (SolidWorks), PLM, and ERP systems.
- Proficient with quality tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, DOE, FMEA).
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as machining, molding, SMT, assembly, testing, and inspection.
- Strong communication skills and comfort working cross\-functionally.
- Fluent in French \& English.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement practices is a plus.
