Key Responsibilities of the Role:

• Attend Whiteboards, take notes and contribute with planning and coordination. Communicate whiteboard items (change of entrances / exits / new exclusion zones / any trends/ incidents) to their crew / subcontractors at the morning huddle.


• Be responsible for the works taking place \& the workers under your direction \& control


• Ensuring all workers under their direction \& control are competent to carry out the assigned task without risk


• Liaise with the subcontractor on site specific rules and specific policies.


• Walk the project assigned with EHS and check the subcontractor RAMS. Subcontractors to submit to EHS and Mercury management for approval. No works to commence without an approved RAMS


• Ensure all crew members are inducted and have adequate training to commence work on site.


• Ensure all permits to work are in place and their crew know where they are kept.


• Ensure RAMS/SOP’s are communicated to the workers and the crew are signed on to it.


• Offer guidance on how to carry out a task in a safe manner.


• Give direction to their crews to ensure they complete the task safely as per RAMS/SOP.


• Ensure a Safe Plan of Action (SPA) is completed before all work activities commence\- review, comment, amend and sign off before works commence to ensure crews are working safely. Ensure the SPA is in a language to workers understand. Ensure the content of the SPA is translated for the supervisor if the written language is not understood.


• Ensure task is carried out in accordance with the SPA \& the RAMS.


• Ensure the crew have the appropriate PPE to complete their tasks without risk.


• Organise Tool and plant. Ensure GA forms are in place and daily checklists are complete. Implement Mercury’s “Ladders Last” approach in the workplace.


• Ensure the workers have the correct tools and equipment to complete the task safely.


• Determine the EHS training needs of their crew members and advise management on any appropriate training required.


• Correct on the Spot issues. All Supervisors/Foreman are to directly and immediately correct on the spot any unsafe acts, behaviours or conditions. Find \& Fix! Have conversations with your crew.


• Address all Safety and Environmental issues/ concerns with the Workers.


• Ensure works are carried out in line with QAQC SOP’s including playing an active part in the Bringing Quality to Life initiative.


• Ensure all SDS sheets are in place for all chemicals being used onsite by the crew and all requirements of the SDS sheets are met. Spill kits, bunds P.P.E. etc.


• Ensure a good level of housekeeping is maintained at all times.


• Ensure safe behaviours and conditions of the workplace for all persons.


• Ensure that all accidents and incidents are reported immediately to Senior Management. Assist in the completion of accident / incident reports. Package Lead to complete the incident report with the EHS advisor


• Carry out weekly Tool Box Talks with the crew. Communicate all topics of concern with the crews.


• Ensure that all who work in their crew fully understand the mandatory obligation to work safely and the consequences for not doing so.


• Contribute at client / GC meetings and ensure all applicable information is filtered back to our internal meetings and TBTs. Attend weekly Safety meetings and contribute.


• Complete site audits SMBWA as required. Close out the items found during the SMBWA ASAP – Insert photos in the SMBWA and show closed out items


• Ensure all Safety documentation is returned to EHS weekly and all folders are updated with the required documentation.


• Take ownership of any sub\-contractors that have been assigned to their project to


• ensure they fully comply with Mercury Engineering’s policies and procedures.

• Ability to work with sub\-contractors and Packages

• Ability to work on owns initiative.

• The ideal candidate will have a minimum 6\- 8 years’ experience in Site management and installation.


• Previous experience in supervising and installation.


• Professional qualification in construction management.


• Professional certification


• Good technical knowledge of CSA systems.


• Travel will be required for this position.

• Excellent communication skills


• Ability to work well within strict deadlines.


• Ability to drive a large\-scale project.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten der Stelle:

• Nehmen Sie an den Whiteboard\-Sitzungen teil, machen Sie sich Notizen und beteiligen Sie sich an der Planung und Koordination. Die Punkte auf dem Whiteboard (Änderungen an Eingängen/Ausgängen/neuen Sperrzonen/etwaigen Trends/Vorfällen) sollen beim morgendlichen Meeting an die eigene Crew/Subunternehmer weitergegeben werden.


• Seien Sie verantwortlich für die durchgeführten Arbeiten und die Ihnen unterstellten Arbeiter.


• Sicherstellen, dass alle ihnen unterstellten Mitarbeiter kompetent sind, die ihnen zugewiesene Aufgabe ohne Risiko auszuführen.


• Abstimmung mit dem Subunternehmer über standortspezifische Regeln und Richtlinien.


• Begehen Sie das Ihnen zugewiesene Projekt mit EHS und überprüfen Sie die RAMS\-Dokumentation der Subunternehmer. Die Subunternehmer müssen ihre Unterlagen zur Genehmigung an das EHS\- und Mercury\-Management einreichen. Ohne eine genehmigte Gefährdungsbeurteilung (RAMS) dürfen keine Arbeiten begonnen werden.


• Stellen Sie sicher, dass alle Crewmitglieder eingewiesen werden und über eine ausreichende Ausbildung verfügen, um ihre Arbeit vor Ort aufnehmen zu können.


• Stellen Sie sicher, dass alle Arbeitsgenehmigungen vorliegen und dass Ihre Mitarbeiter wissen, wo diese aufbewahrt werden.


• Stellen Sie sicher, dass die RAMS/SOPs den Arbeitern mitgeteilt werden und dass die Crew diese unterzeichnet hat.


• Anleitung geben, wie eine Aufgabe sicher ausgeführt werden kann.


• Weisen Sie Ihre Teams so an, dass sie die Aufgabe gemäß RAMS/SOP sicher ausführen.


• Stellen Sie sicher, dass vor Beginn aller Arbeitsaktivitäten ein sicherer Aktionsplan (SPA) erstellt wird – überprüfen, kommentieren, ändern und unterzeichnen Sie diesen, bevor die Arbeiten beginnen, um sicherzustellen, dass die Teams sicher arbeiten. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die SPA in einer für die Mitarbeiter verständlichen Sprache verfasst ist. Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Inhalt des SPA für den Vorgesetzten übersetzt wird, falls die schriftliche Sprache nicht verstanden wird.


• Sicherstellen, dass die Aufgabe in Übereinstimmung mit dem SPA und dem RAMS durchgeführt wird.


• Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Besatzung über die geeignete persönliche Schutzausrüstung (PSA) verfügt, um ihre Aufgaben risikofrei erledigen zu können.


• Werkzeug und Pflanze organisieren. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die GA\-Formulare vorhanden sind und die täglichen Checklisten vollständig ausgefüllt sind. Setzen Sie den Ansatz „Leitern zuletzt“ von Mercury am Arbeitsplatz um.


• Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Arbeiter über die richtigen Werkzeuge und Ausrüstungen verfügen, um die Aufgabe sicher auszuführen.


• Ermitteln Sie den Schulungsbedarf Ihrer Mitarbeiter im Bereich Arbeitssicherheit und Gesundheitsschutz und beraten Sie das Management hinsichtlich aller erforderlichen Schulungen.


• Probleme sofort beheben. Alle Vorgesetzten/Vorarbeiter sind verpflichtet, unsichere Handlungen, Verhaltensweisen oder Zustände sofort und direkt vor Ort zu korrigieren. Finden \& Reparieren! Führe Gespräche mit deiner Crew.


• Alle Sicherheits\- und Umweltfragen/\-bedenken müssen mit den Arbeitern besprochen werden.
