As our EV and Solar divisions continue to grow, we are looking for an organised, proactive and hands\-on Materials, Procurement \& Warehouse Coordinator to take ownership of our warehouse, stock control, materials management and procurement processes.
This is a key operational role within the business and will play a major part in ensuring our installation teams have the right materials, in the right place, at the right time.
The Role
This is a hands\-on role combining warehouse management, procurement, stock control and materials coordination.
We are looking for someone who enjoys being practical and organised, whilst also being capable of managing supplier relationships, ordering materials and improving systems.
You will become the central point of control for materials, stock and procurement across our EV and Solar divisions, helping ensure projects run smoothly and efficiently.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement \& Supplier Coordination
- Order materials, equipment and stock from approved suppliers
- Obtain quotations and compare supplier pricing
- Monitor supplier lead times and product availability
- Liaise with suppliers regarding deliveries, shortages, returns and warranty claims
- Monitor stock levels and proactively reorder materials when required
- Assist with identifying opportunities to improve purchasing efficiency and reduce costs
- Maintain supplier records and purchasing information
- Manage warehouse organisation and cleanliness
- Receive, check and book in deliveries
- Unload and safely store incoming stock
- Maintain accurate stock records
- Operate forklift truck
- Create and maintain organised storage locations
- Manage surplus, obsolete and slow\-moving stock
- Support ongoing warehouse improvements and layout optimisation
- Allocate materials to installation projects
- Prepare installation kits for engineers and solar teams
- Ensure materials are available ahead of installation dates
- Coordinate deliveries and collections where required
- Manage faulty products, returns and warranty items
- Support the operations team with materials planning and logistics
- Strong organisational skills
- Good attention to detail
- Good computer literacy
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
- Practical and hands\-on approach
- Strong communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Warehouse, stock control or stores experience
- Procurement or purchasing experience
- Forklift licence
- Experience within the electrical, solar, renewables, builders merchant or construction supply sectors
- Experience working with suppliers and ordering materials
- Familiarity with electrical products, solar equipment, EV charging equipment or construction materials
We’re looking for somebody who enjoys creating order from chaos.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, dependable and capable of taking ownership of a critical function within the business.
This role would suit someone who enjoys solving problems, improving systems and keeping things organised. One minute you may be unloading a delivery, the next you may be preparing installation kits, chasing suppliers or helping improve purchasing processes.
We would particularly welcome applications from candidates with experience working within electrical wholesalers, builders merchants, solar distributors, renewables suppliers or construction\-related businesses.
