Marketing & Outreach Manager for Nursery Growth
Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated, proactive, confident and commercially minded Marketing \& Outreach Manager to take responsibility for helping us grow our nursery, breakfast club and after\-school club and get children in our establishment.
This is a standalone role for someone who can take initiative, work independently and, most importantly, bring new families through the door.
We are looking for someone who understands that this is not simply an administration or childcare role. Your main focus will be to create awareness, generate enquiries, build relationships and convert those enquiries into sign ups and bookings.
You will be responsible for developing and carrying out a proactive marketing and outreach strategy, including but not limited to visiting schools, finding \& speaking with parents, building relationships with local organisations and finding creative ways to make families aware of what we offer.
Your Main GoalTo increase the number of children registered with our nursery, breakfast club and after\-school club. We have a new nursery but we now need children and a great marketing manager to push our nursery into the public's eyes to have more children enrolled.
You will be given the freedom to be creative and try different approaches to achieve this.
We want someone who will constantly be asking:
How can we reach more local families?
Which schools and organisations should we be speaking to?
How can we encourage parents to choose our nursery?What promotions or events could generate interest?How can we turn enquiries into registrations?
What can we do differently from other nurseries and childcare providers?
Key Responsibilities are :
Marketing \& PR
Develop and implement creative marketing campaigns to promote the nursery and childcare services.
Increase our visibility within the local community.
Manage and contribute to social media marketing and promotional activity.
Create engaging content, flyers, posters, newsletters and other promotional materials.Identify opportunities for local PR, community publicity and partnerships.
Promote the nursery's unique features, activities and benefits to prospective families.
Research local childcare demand and competitor activity.
Monitor which marketing activities are generating enquiries and registrations.
School \& Community OutreachVisit local primary schools, nurseries and other educational settings to introduce our services.
Build relationships with headteachers, teachers, school administrators and other relevant staff.
Promote our breakfast club and after\-school club directly to schools and families.
Identify opportunities to work with schools and community organisations.
Attend local events, family events and community activities to promote the nursery.
Develop partnerships and referral opportunities within the local area.
Proactively identify new places and organisations where we can reach potential families.
Parent Engagement \& EnrolmentRespond quickly and professionally to enquiries from prospective parents.
Explain our services clearly and confidently to parents. Follow up with prospective families and encourage them to complete registration.
Maintain a database of enquiries, leads, visits and registrations.
Identify opportunities to increase bookings for breakfast and after\-school clubs.
Take ownership of achieving agreed enrolment and growth targets.
Develop new ideas and initiatives to attract children and families.
Track the results of marketing and outreach activities.
Report regularly to management on enquiries, registrations, partnerships and marketing results.
The Person We Are Looking For:
This role is ideal for someone who is energetic, ambitious, outgoing and results\-driven. You must be comfortable working independently and taking responsibility without needing someone to tell you what to do every day.
We are particularly interested in someone with experience or a strong understanding of:
Marketing and promotion.
PR and community engagement.
Sales and lead generation.
Social media marketing.
Customer relationship management.
School or community outreach.
Business development.
Nursery, childcare or education environments. But without is also fine.
You should be confident approaching schools and organisations, speaking to parents, making phone calls, sending emails and promoting our services face\-to\-face.
We believe in rewarding results. In addition to the basic salary, we are creating a performance\-based incentive for children successfully enrolled through your marketing and outreach efforts. This means the more successful you are at bringing new families to the nursery and clubs, the more you can earn. The exact incentive structure will be discussed with the successful candidate.
