We are looking for an experienced, commercially driven Hospitality Marketing \& Bookings Manager to take ownership of marketing, venue listings, enquiries, reservations, events and private\-hire sales across our hospitality operation.
This is a hands\-on role for someone who understands how to fill hospitality venues, generate bookings and convert enquiries into revenue.
You must have strong previous experience working with bars, restaurants, lounges, event venues or similar hospitality businesses and be confident managing the entire journey from marketing and lead generation through to venue viewings, booking confirmation and event handover.
Key Responsibilities Marketing \& Third\-Party Platforms
You will take responsibility for ensuring our venues are properly represented, promoted and optimised across relevant hospitality and event platforms, including:
- DesignMyNight
- Tagvenue
- Google Business Profile
- OpenTable / reservation platforms
- Eventbrite
- Private\-hire and event marketplace websites
- TripAdvisor and other hospitality platforms
- Social media and other relevant digital channels
You will be expected to identify new platforms and opportunities that can generate additional bookings and revenue.
Bookings, Reservations \& Event Sales
You will manage incoming enquiries from initial contact through to confirmed booking.
Responsibilities include:
- Responding quickly and professionally to booking enquiries
- Managing restaurant, bar, group and event reservations
- Handling private\-hire and corporate enquiries
- Following up leads consistently
- Understanding client requirements and recommending appropriate spaces/packages
- Conducting venue viewings and confidently showing prospective clients around
- Selling the venue, its spaces, food, drinks and event packages
- Negotiating and closing bookings
- Collecting deposits and ensuring bookings are properly confirmed
- Upselling food, drinks, packages and additional services
- Maintaining accurate booking records
- Coordinating confirmed events with the operational team
- Building relationships with repeat, corporate and agency clients
Events \& Revenue Generation
A major part of this position is proactively generating business rather than simply waiting for enquiries.
You will help develop and promote:
- Birthdays and celebrations
- Corporate events
- Christmas parties
- Engagements and receptions
- Bottomless brunches
- Private dining
- Drinks receptions
- Venue hire
- Group bookings
- Product launches
- Networking events
- Ticketed events
- Seasonal campaigns and special occasions
Marketing \& Campaign Management
You will assist in planning and executing hospitality\-focused marketing campaigns across digital, social, email and third\-party channels.
This includes:
- Creating marketing calendars
- Promoting weekly and seasonal events
- Coordinating content and creative assets
- Email marketing and customer database campaigns
- Developing offers and promotions
- Working with photographers, designers, influencers and content creators where required
- Monitoring campaign performance
- Understanding where enquiries and bookings originate
- Identifying which platforms produce the strongest return
- Developing strategies to improve quieter trading periods
Essential:
- Previous marketing and/or bookings experience within the hospitality industry
- Strong experience with DesignMyNight and Tagvenue
- Experience managing third\-party hospitality, reservation and event platforms
- Experience handling venue enquiries and private\-hire bookings
- Proven ability to convert enquiries into confirmed bookings
- Experience conducting venue viewings
- Strong sales and negotiation ability
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong organisational and follow\-up skills
- Commercial awareness and understanding of hospitality revenue
- Ability to manage multiple enquiries, bookings and events simultaneously
- Confidence communicating with corporate clients, event organisers and members of the public
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of targets
- Existing relationships with event planners, corporate bookers or hospitality agencies
- Experience managing multiple venues
- CRM/database management experience
- Experience with email marketing platforms
- Understanding of paid social and digital advertising
- Experience developing hospitality packages and promotions
- Experience with restaurant reservation systems
- Strong knowledge of the London hospitality and events market
We are looking for somebody who is proactive, organised, commercially minded and sales\-focused.
You should not need to be constantly told to follow up an enquiry or identify an opportunity. If an enquiry comes in, you should naturally want to convert it. If bookings are quiet, you should be looking at what can be promoted, which clients can be contacted and what additional channels can generate business.
Ultimately, your role is to help ensure that our venues are visible, our enquiry pipeline remains strong and as many qualified enquiries as possible become paying customers.
Performance \& KPIs
Performance will be measured against areas including:
- Number and value of enquiries generated
- Enquiry\-to\-booking conversion rate
- Private\-hire and event revenue
- Number of venue viewings converted
- Repeat and corporate bookings
- Third\-party platform performance
- Response and follow\-up times
- Marketing campaign performance
- Growth of the customer and corporate database
- Overall contribution to venue revenue
