We are looking for a Marketing & Events Executive to join an established and growing organisation based in the Stafford area. This is a hands-on position combining event management, customer engagement, content and wider marketing activity.
You will work closely with the marketing and commercial teams to deliver events and campaigns that strengthen the company's profile, create new opportunities and provide valuable insight into customers and the wider market.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll take ownership of a varied programme of marketing and event activity, including:
- Researching and selecting relevant exhibitions, conferences and industry events.
- Coordinating events from initial planning through to delivery and post-event follow-up.
- Managing event budgets, suppliers, promotional materials, logistics and deadlines.
- Attending exhibitions and events across the UK, representing the business and engaging with customers and prospects.
- Working alongside the sales team to maximise leads and opportunities generated through events.
- Measuring event performance, analysing leads and reporting on commercial return.
- Organising customer visits and gathering feedback and market intelligence.
- Developing customer stories, testimonials and case studies for use across marketing channels.
- Supporting the creation of presentations, brochures, sales literature and other marketing materials.
- Keeping up to date with competitor activity, industry developments and customer trends.
- Supporting brand awareness campaigns, product launches and other marketing initiatives.
- Maintaining accurate customer and activity information within the company's CRM.
- Providing general marketing support to the wider business and contributing new ideas.
You should have:
- At least 3 years' experience in events, event marketing, B2B marketing or a similar role.
- Previous experience organising exhibitions, trade shows or customer-facing events.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The confidence to build relationships with customers, prospects, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- A proactive approach and the ability to manage several projects at the same time.
- A commercial mindset and an understanding of how marketing activity can contribute to business growth.
- A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel nationally.
- Previous experience within engineering, manufacturing, industrial, construction, environmental or another technical B2B environment would be advantageous.
- Experience using HubSpot or another CRM/marketing automation system would be beneficial.
