Marketing \& Communications Assistant

Join a dynamic marketing team in Beacon Hospital, Sandyford, South Dublin. Help us to creatively communicate to patients, GPs, staff and the general public about all the new and innovative services we have to offer.

The Marketing Assistant will work within the Marketing Team and will be involved in all aspects of the hospital's marketing activity including consumer advertising, leaflet design and production, sponsorships and events, staff communications, social media, website, hospital newsletters and more.

The ideal candidate will have a qualification in Marketing or related field, have strong writing skills and be highly organised.

Job Description

  • *Staff Comms* \- Writing content for our staff comms updates \- including for staff newsletters, emails, production of notices/posters for staff areas.

  • *Consumer and GP Newsletters and e\-marketing* \- assisting with content, creation and production of our GP and Consumer Newsletters and e\-mail marketing.

  • *Marketing Support* \- Assisting with general marketing activities including consumer campaigns, medical professional campaigns, design of flyers, posters, patient information leaflets etc using tools such as Canva.

  • *Administrative Tasks* \- Assisting with the daily administrative tasks associated with the running of the department including PO requests, scheduling meetings etc.

  • *Design \& Print* \- producing new leaflets and literature (print \& digital) for the hospital. Liaising with each department for content, graphic design company for design and Procurement for printing requirements.

  • *Creativity* \- bringing new and creative ideas to a team that is always open to trying new and exciting marketing methods!

  • *Campaigns* \- assisting the Team with creation of new advertising campaigns.

  • *Budget* \- working closely with the rest of the marketing team to manage the marketing budget to ensure that all marketing activity and purchase orders are within budget.

  • *Event Assistance* \- In busy times for events, assisting the Events Manager and Events Assistant with the production of high\-quality events including staff summer bbq, staff Christmas parties, kids Christmas parties, patient events etc.
Skill Set
  • Degree in marketing, English or related qualification

  • A hard worker who wants to get stuck in, learn lots and jump start their career!

  • Strong writing skills and attention to detail

  • Creative and a real passion for marketing

  • Confident, self\-starter with the ability to engage with people on all levels

  • Excellent organisational skills and advanced in excel, word and PowerPoint

  • Ability to think outside of the box and come up with new and creative marketing ideas

  • Good at photography is a bonus!
