Marketing & Business Development Coordinator – Part Time, School Hours
Marketing \& Business Development Coordinator
Nino Travagli Photography – Hull
Wednesday–Friday, 9:30am–2:30pm
15 hours per week
Initial 3\-month probationary period
Pay: National Minimum Wage during probation, with pay reviewed following successful completion
We are creating an exciting new position within our established photography business and are looking for someone with genuine marketing and sales experience to take ownership of generating new business opportunities.
This is not primarily a social media content role.
We already have someone responsible for our regular social media content. Instead, we are looking for someone commercially minded who can actively generate leads, follow them up, identify new opportunities, build relationships and help bring more customers through our doors.
The role is Wednesday to Friday from 9:30am–2:30pm, making it particularly well suited to someone looking for professional part\-time hours that fit around school drop\-off and collection times.
What you'll be responsible for
You will be responsible for proactively finding and developing opportunities for the business, including:
- Finding and generating new customer leads
- Following up new enquiries and marketing leads
- Re\-engaging previous enquiries and potential customers
- Contacting leads by telephone and email
- Creating and managing lead\-generation campaigns
- Posting promotional adverts and enquiry forms to capture new leads
- Following leads through rather than simply generating initial enquiries
- Identifying new marketing opportunities for the business
- Approaching schools and nurseries regarding photography opportunities
- Building relationships with schools, nurseries and other organisations
- Researching and contacting potential business partners
- Researching relevant wedding fayres and events
- Making enquiries and arranging wedding fayre bookings for our photography team
- Identifying new venues, businesses and organisations we could work alongside
- Promoting the different areas of our business and photography services
- Keeping accurate records of leads, conversations and follow\-ups
- Tracking which marketing activities are generating enquiries and bookings
- Continually looking for new ways to increase enquiries, bookings and revenue
This is a results\-focused role
Because this is a completely new position within our business, we are looking for someone who is comfortable taking initiative rather than waiting to be given a list of tasks each day.
We want someone who naturally thinks:
Who else could we approach?
Where could our next customers come from?
Which leads haven't been followed up?
What opportunities aren't we currently taking advantage of?
You will be given an understanding of our business, services and target customers, but we want the successful person to bring their own marketing and sales knowledge, ideas and experience to the position.
What we're looking for
We are particularly interested in applicants with previous experience in areas such as:
- Marketing
- Sales
- Business development
- Lead generation
- Telephone sales
- Account management
- B2B outreach
- Customer acquisition
- Relationship building
What we do need is someone who understands how to turn marketing activity into enquiries and enquiries into genuine business opportunities.
You should be:
- Confident communicating by telephone and email
- Comfortable approaching businesses and organisations you've never spoken to before
- Confident following up leads
- Organised and able to keep track of multiple opportunities
- Self\-motivated
- Proactive rather than reactive
- Professional and personable
- Comfortable working towards measurable results
- Able to work independently while also being part of our wider studio team
Business mileage will be paid for authorised work\-related travel.
Hours
Wednesday: 9:30am–2:30pm
Thursday: 9:30am–2:30pm
Friday: 9:30am–2:30pm
15 guaranteed hours per week.
These hours have intentionally been structured to fit comfortably within the school day and may be particularly attractive to someone looking to return to work or find a professional role around family commitments.
Pay and probationary period
As this is a completely new role within our business, the position will initially begin with a 3\-month probationary period paid at the applicable National Minimum Wage.
During those three months, both ourselves and the successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop the position and establish what works most effectively.
If the probationary period is successfully completed, the hourly rate will be reviewed and increased based on experience, performance and the value being generated within the role.
We are deliberately not advertising commission or making unrealistic earning promises. At present, this is an hourly\-paid position.
As the role develops, additional performance\-related incentives may potentially be discussed with the right person in the future, but these are not currently part of the advertised package.
Long\-term opportunity
Unlike our seasonal Studio Technician vacancy, this position has been created with the intention of becoming a long\-term role if the initial three\-month period is successful.
For the right person, there is significant scope to make this position their own and become an important part of the continued growth of our business.

Please apply with your CV and a short introduction explaining:
