MARINE LAWYER – 7+ PQE – SENIOR ASSOCIATE / PARTNER – SOUTH WEST – EXCELLENT PACKAGE

A leading specialist Marine team is looking to appoint an experienced Marine Lawyer with 7+ years' PQE to join its highly regarded practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Associate, Legal Director or Partner-level lawyer with a strong background in the ports and marine sector to join a nationally recognised team with an outstanding client base and an expanding pipeline of work based in one of the South West offices

The Role

The successful candidate will join a well-established Marine practice recognised at the highest levels of the legal directories for its expertise in the ports, harbours and marine sector.

The team acts for a significant number of ports and marine businesses across the UK, including some of the largest port groups, and continues to experience strong growth in both the volume and complexity of its work.

You will advise clients on a broad range of port and marine-related matters. Your particular area of legal specialism can be flexible, with the key requirement being strong experience of working with clients within the ports industry.

Relevant experience could include:

Marine and port-related litigation.
Regulatory matters.
Commercial and logistics work.
Port and coastal development.
Wider advisory work relating to the marine sector.

The team is open to candidates from a range of legal backgrounds, provided you have a strong understanding of the ports and marine industry.

You will be given significant responsibility from the outset, working on high-quality and complex matters for an impressive client base.

About You

The ideal candidate will be a senior lawyer with 7+ years' PQE and demonstrable experience advising clients within the ports, harbours or marine sector.

You will ideally have:

Strong experience working within the ports industry.
Excellent technical legal knowledge.
The ability to develop strong and trusted client relationships.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A genuine interest in the marine and ports sector.
Confidence in networking and business development.
A commercial and client-focused approach.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing demands.
