Managing Director China Eastern Airlines Swedish Branch

Job Responsibilities
As Managing Director of China Eastern Airlines Swedish Branch, you will take full charge of overall management and daily business operations for the company in Sweden. You shall ensure all business activities are carried out in a safe, efficient and compliant manner, in line with corporate governance documents as well as applicable Swedish laws and regulations.
Key responsibilities: • Lead end‑to‑end operation and management of the Stockholm office; implement corporate strategies, policies, directives and business targets set by the company and its Board of Directors. • Manage day‑to‑day Swedish business in compliance with the Swedish Foreign Branch Offices Act and other relevant legislation, working together with and under advice from local legal advisors. • Be fully accountable for business planning, market development, sales and commercial results; coordinate the airline’s aviation‑related and commercial activities across the Swedish market. • Oversee flight & station operations, service quality, safety governance and operational compliance; ensure smooth coordination among airport station teams, sales functions, service vendors and all relevant third‑party stakeholders. • Administer local finance, administration, human resources, budgeting, procurement and asset management for the Swedish entity; guarantee robust internal governance and optimal utilisation of corporate resources. • Lead, coach and supervise local employees: define work objectives, assign responsibilities and conduct performance reviews. Ensure personnel practices comply with local statutory requirements and internal company policies. • Act as the company’s official representative for communications and cooperation with Swedish governmental authorities, airports, commercial partners, industry associations, professional consultants, customers and other external parties. • Build and maintain internal controls, compliance frameworks, risk‑management protocols and emergency response procedures. With solid multi‑year working experience within China Eastern Airlines Headquarters, you shall maintain constant effective communication with headquarters to handle daily operations and major incidents, and promptly report material operational and management issues to head‑office designated authorities. • Undertake additional management duties and ad‑hoc assignments delegated by the Board or headquarters, including accepting internal appointments within the company or its associated companies when required.
You will report directly to the designated superior unit and headquarters‑appointed governing body. You hold ultimate accountability for the Stockholm branch’s management performance, operational delivery, regulatory compliance, safety standards and business growth.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications

• Multi‑year working experience within China Eastern Airlines Headquarters, familiar with group organisation, business workflows and internal policies; capable of timely and effective communication with headquarters departments for daily affairs and major emergencies. • Bachelor’s degree or above, major in Aviation Management, Business Administration, International Trade, Law or related fields is preferred. • Proven senior‑level management experience in multinational companies or overseas branches, with practical knowledge of overseas entity governance. • Fluent English (written & spoken) for business and official‑authority correspondence; proficient in Chinese language.

• Sound knowledge of aviation‑industry operations covering station handling, sales & marketing, safety compliance, finance and human‑resource management. • Strong capabilities in business development, commercial negotiation, risk identification and emergency handling. • Good understanding of overseas corporate compliance and ability to apply local national laws and regulations. • Excellent leadership and cross‑cultural team‑management skills.

• Willing to be based in Stockholm, Sweden and eligible to obtain valid Swedish work permit. • High sense of accountability, capable of taking full managerial responsibility for the Swedish branch.
